The Batman prequel, Gotham, continues on Fox with another exciting episode. With more characters from DC Comics Universe make their way onto the TV screen, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is about to discover the origins of Arkham City in, "Arkham."

In his parking lot, a councilman is murdered by a well-dressed hit-man (Hakeem Kae-Kazim). The councilman's killer uses a homemade device that juts out a blade. This is just the beginning of a murder spree.

After introducing himself to Barbara (Erin Richards), Oswald (Robin Lord Taylor) is tossed around in the streets by Gordon (McKenzie). Oswald has returned to Gotham because the city needs him and he wants to help Gordon, who saved his life. There is a war coming and it will be over Arkham.

The streets of Arkham have been shut down for many years. Falcone wants to use the abandoned buildings to create new housing. Marconi (David Zayas) though wants the unused property for industrial works.

When Gordon talks to Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) about Arkham, the boy reveals that his parents wanted to build Arkham as a safe haven for others. If the voting falls into the hands of either Falcone and Marconi, everything Bruce's parents fought for dies. As Bruce investigates into the property deal, he wonders if his parents were murdered because of it.

After a second councilman is murdered, burned alive his time, Gordon and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) head to prison to visit their crime informant. It takes two packs of cigarettes for the snitch to reveal the hit-man's name, Gladwell. The two end up where Gladwell works at the Human Resources department.

Caught by surprise, Gladwell ends up running, with Gordon chasing after him. With the blade eerily close behind him, Gordon ends up being called out by Bullock. They discover a handwritten note with three letters that could stand for anything.

Wanting to know about Oswald, Barbara reveals to Jim that she had an affair with Renee Montoya. Gordon makes it clear that he isn't mad she had a lesbian affair. He's mad that she lied to him and kept their relationship a secret.

Bullock and Gordon end up splitting and taking two different leads. Bullock heads on over to Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) to get some info, while Gordon figures out what the initials stand for. The three letters stood for the last names of the Mayor's security guards.

Arriving in the nick of time to save the Mayor, Gordon ends up in brawl against Gladwell. Bullock arrives and points his gun at Gladwell, ending the fight. Because he doesn't care if he lives or dies, Bullock and Gordon shoot him to death before he can get his hands on the Mayor.

In the end, the Mayor offers land property to both Falcone and Maroni. Gordon ends his relationship with Barbara because he cannot tell her about what really goes on at work. He would rather keep her in the dark, than share his secrets with her.

Maroni's restaurant is robbed by a group of masked thugs. During the robbery, Oswald was hiding in the back, protecting Maroni's money. Because he risked his life, Oswald is promoted to manager at Maroni's restaurant.

Oswald planned the heist at Maroni's restaurant. He double-crosses his own men by poisoning their food. With the floor covered with dead bodies, Oswald walks away with all of the stolen money.

Gordon ends up losing his the love of his life because of Oswald's return to Gotham. Readers, what did you think of "Arkham?"
