One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik may be going solo, but don't worry, One Directioners, it would only be for one song! Bollywood, India's legendary movie industry, is trying to persuade Zayn to record a song for an upcoming Bollywood blockbuster. The "Story of My Life" singer is even being offered a half a million dollars to do it. Just one song! We'll hum it for them for $10.

The film's producer Ashwin Varde explained to The Mirror why he wants to One Direction hottie to sing the song.

"One Direction has a huge following among the youth, especially in major cities. Zayn Malik is very well-known in that circle and holds tremendous promise if given the right break in a Bollywood film," he said. "Zayn appeals to an even younger audience, which is the driving force of Bollywood movies today."

Not only do they want Zayn to sing for the film, they want him to act in it too!

"There is definite interest in getting Zayn to star in a Bollywood film or deliver a song. He has a huge fan base in India and would do really well," Gulshan Grover, a famous Bollywood actor, said. "I would be happy to guide him. I'm sure he doesn't need help with the dance moves but I would be happy to teach him how to fight on-screen."

Zayn wouldn't be the first major recording artist to record a song for a Bollywood film. Included on the list are Kyle Minogue, Snoop Dogg, and Akon.

One Direction is gearing up to release their fourth studio album, Four, and just filmed the video for the first single "Steal My Girl" starring Hollywood legend Danny DeVito.
