Singer Kesha is suing her former producer, Dr. Luke for 10 years of sexual, physical, verbal and emotional abuse and claims that she almost died due to the abuse.

TMZ obtained the lawsuit in which the "Die Young" singer claims Dr. Luke began making sexual advances when she signed to him when she was 18 and stated that she tried to give her alcohol and drugs to make her give in to his advances.

The explosive documents claim that the starlet was date raped after Dr. Luke offered her "sober pills" which caused her to pass out and wake up naked in his bed the next morning.

Earlier this year, the singer suffered from bulimia and entered a rehab, but later alleged that the disorder derived from the producer's verbal abuse regarding her image and talents, "You are not that pretty, you are not that talented, you are just lucky to have me."

The "Crazy Kids" singer's lawyer told Mark Geragos told TMZ, "This lawsuit is a wholehearted effort by Kesha to regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for ten years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke." The celebrity lawyer added, "The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain. Kesha is focused on moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time."
