David Boudia Girlfriend Sonnie Brand 'So Proud' of Boyfriend's Olympic Gold Medal Win

David Boudia is a diving and shining star for the USA and for his girlfriend Sonnie Brand with whom he's engaged with.  He took home the 2012 Olympic gold medal for individual diving representing the Unites States.  Boudia beat China's Qiu Bo and Great Britain's Tom Daley with the highest score of the final night.

While most people expected Qui Bo to win, it was a pleasant surprise for Americans that Boudia captured the title.  The Chinese diver settled with silver with disappointment.  On the contrary, Daley took home the bronze medal as if he won gold.

Daley reflected, "It's so surreal right now.  I can't believe I'm an Olympic champion."

Girlfriend Brand was so proud of her USA diver boyfriend, she tweeted, "@davidboudia definitely redefined his journey in so many ways! For one by ripping dives and taking Gold! So proud. So thankful.God is good!"

Boudia proposed to Brand in May 2012 and posted a cute photo of the two on Twitter.  Now that the Olympics are over, the next thing for Boudia is wedding planning.
