The London Olympics 2012 will close with a spectacular closing ceremony on Sunday night (August 12). There will be live streaming and TV coverage on the three and a half hour concert and closing festivities. Performers are kept a secret, however some of the highly rumored closing ceremony performers include Spice Girls, One Direction, and Take That among others.
Muse has already accidentally leaked the information via Don Howard who had slipped to NME, "They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [the] closing ceremony and they loved it. It represented the enormous competition of what the Olympics is."
Pictures have been posted online showing Spice Girls, One Direction,Ed Sheeran, Tinie Tempah, and Jessie J in what seems to be a rehearsal for the Olympics closing ceremony, so it can be safe to assume that they may be on the closing ceremony roster.
After 2 weeks of intense competition in various sports, USA tops the list with a total of 104 medals. China is second with 87 total medals. Coming at third place is Great Britain which snagged 65 medals.
The athletes who have trained for months in order to compete at the Olympics can now they can enjoy the music together as one. Whether they've won a medal or not, they are all great athletes representing their countries.
