We have been absolutely loving American Horror Story this season. Freak Show might just possibly be our favorite season of the series yet, and only two episodes have aired. While this installment of the horror franchise might have the most star-studded cast we've ever seen, one of those stars might not be returning for the fifth season of the show.

As we reported earlier this week, thanks to the amazing showing that the premiere episode had, FX has renewed the Ryan Murphy fright fest for another season. However, it looks like Kathy Bates might be saying goodbye to the series as she gave a pretty interesting statement about her involvement, according to E! News.

"I love getting these fantastic characters to play," the star revealed. "Ryan's told me that he wants me to come back next year and it's getting hard to refuse, let me tell you! Everything's grown so much even since last years. It's amazing. I can't believe it."

Her quote leaves us scratching our heads, not knowing whether the star is staying or going.

She isn't the only one contemplating leaving the series. It was reported a while back that Jessica Lange was planning on making season 4 her last. However, it looks like she might be warming up to the idea of one last go around, as Murphy has already approached her to play a role in the new season.

We reported earlier that Freak Show is Jessica's favorite installment of the show yet.

"This is her favorite season without questions," Ryan explained to E! "She said that to me, she has said that publicly, that she feels really reinvigorated in some regards. I really want her to keep her hand in."

Only time will tell what these ladies decide to do, but at least we will have them on the series for the next 11 episodes.
