With the summer blockbuster success of X-Men: Days of Future Past, audiences have anxiously awaiting for the Marvel Comics mutant superhero team to make their way onto DVD and Blu-Ray. With Bryan Singer back in the director's chair, the all-star cast also included James MacAvoy, Ian McKellen, and Michael Fassbender.

As we reported here, we were very excited the Usual Suspects filmmaker came back to direct after leaving X-Men: The Last Stand in the hands of Brett Ratner. While we wait for the X-Men: Apocalypse sequel, we have 5 reasons why you should get your hands on X-Men: Days of Future Past.

5) Jennifer Lawrence

The Huger Games actress is back as the butt-kicking Mystique. The American Hustle stunner holds her own as the shapeshifting blue mutant who wants revenge. You can't take your eyes off her for one second.

4) Charles and Eric

At their best, the X-Men movies have explored the love/hate relationship between Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr. Playing their younger counterparts, MacAvoy and Fassbender have such great chemistry together when they are on-screen. Then you have the added bonus of Patrick Stewart and MacAvoy being in the same scene together.

3) Quicksilver

In Days of Future Past, Quicksilver (Evan Peters) has to break into a maximum security prison and free Magneto. In an exciting action sequence, we see Quicksilver taking down the guards, stopping bullets in mid-air, and rearranging the scene.

2) The Sentinels

We see the X-Men in action in the mind-blowing opening sequences. Not only do we see Iceman, Kitty Pryde, and Blink use their powers against the robot enforcers, comic book fans also get to see Bishop time-travel.

1) Apocalypse

After the end credits, we get a teaser of what's to come in the next installment. The mutant warlord, Apocalypse, uses his powers to create the Egyptian pyramids. If you notice in the background, we see the 4 Horseman ready to strike.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is out in stores now on DVD and Blu-Ray. Readers, are you excited to get your hands on this X-Men sequel?
