Do you want to catch some shooting stars tonight? Experts say there is still a chance o view the Perseid Meteor showers tonight, though with fewer frequency. For those who cannot go out to the wilderness or have obstructed view of the night sky can view it via the live streaming by NASA provided below.

People across the United States will be able to view the shooting star show without any special equipment. Just look up at the sky from a location with minimal lights, pollution, clouds, and buildings.

The best times to view the Perseid meteor showers are between midnight local time to dawn. Shooting stars may start appearing from 10:00 p.m. local time. Peak times for Sunday viewing would be 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Why is it named Perseid?

The shooting star display is scientifically explained as Perseid meteor shower because it's the time when the Earth travels through what's left of the comet Swift-Tuttle. And when viewing into the sky from earth, it the meteor shower appears to be shining from the constellation Perseus.

This meteor shower happens only annually, so take your family, friends, loved ones out to view make a wish or two.
