‘The Bachelorette’ Alum Ashley Hebert And Husband JP Rosenbaum Talk Parenting And Their Choice To Name Their Son Fordham

The Bachelorette stars Ashley Hebert and husband JP Rosenbaum welcomed their first child Fordham Rhys into the world Sept. 30. The happy couple is now talking about their new lives as parents, and why they chose the name Fordham.

"Ashley was born to be a mom. She has such a motherly way about her. She is totally in love with this child and it shows in every ounce of her being. She is just glowing," JP exclusively told E! News.

"Seeing JP as a father has made me love him even more. He helped tremendously during a long recovery and seeing him care so deeply for our family has brought us even closer together," Ashley added about her loving husband.

As for the reasoning behind Fordham's name, the new parents revealed they wanted something strong and different for their little guy.

"Well, we knew we wanted a name that was unique, masculine and would be a good fit throughout every stage of his life. We must have gone through every name on the planet! Many of the names were actually New York-inspired. Ashley thought of 'Fordham' and it just clicked with us. We also figured it'd be a great name if some day he wanted to be president," the couple explained to the publication.

The couple just released photos of their newborn today and teased a few of them on Instagram.

"Fordham Rhys Rosenbaum. Welcome to our wonderful world. We love you more than you'll ever know!" Ashley wrote with a beautiful picture of her child.

Before their son's arrival, the couple moved to Miami, Florida, and created a luxury baby room so their son would have an amazing space to come home from the hospital to.

"Ashley and JP have many memories of traveling together, so the nursery features a subtle travel theme ... There's also accessories throughout the room like sailboats, maps and airplanes that complement the theme without being too over the top," designer Vanessa Antonelli told E! News.
