The CW's Arrow and Fox's Gotham seemingly exist in two distinct universes and clearly air on two different networks. But speculation has been rising recently that the two shows are somehow planning a crossover, or would at least interact in some way.

The buzz began when the logo of Queen Consolidated, Oliver Queen's company in Arrow, appeared in the background of a shot in the second episode of Gotham. The Easter egg of Wayne Industries in The Flash, the spinoff of Arrow, only fueled the fire.

But it does not seem like a crossover of any kind is in the works, at least according to the shows' producers. Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim told MTV News he had no idea how the Queen Consolidated logo got into Gotham.

"You know, it's a great question!" he said. "The internet did point out to me the Queen Consolidated [logo] - or what looked like a Queen consolidated Easter egg. I'm still actually trying to find out how intentional that was. Let me just say the investigation is ongoing."

Gotham producer Danny Cannon further threw a wet blanket onto the possibility of a crossover. "I gotta tell you, it was completely unintentional," he said. "Somebody spotted it in the cutting room, but we move so fast, we were like, 'that's cool, leave it in! don't talk about it!' We were stealing - the visual effects guys were stealing neon letters from other places, and that was one that worked. But it was unintentional."

But what about The Dollmaker's appearance on Gotham after his previous appearances on Arrow? "Well I think that is very clearly an example of not a crossover," he said. "That was a completely different take on the Dollmaker character from the comics than we had last year. So that was a completely separate occurrence."
