Michael Phelps Twitter Gains Million Fans in Record Time

Michael Phelps broke another record as the Olympian who has gained the most Twitter followers in the shortest amount of time.  The American swimmer, who is retiring from swimming, has gained a million followers during the prior of the London Olympics games between July 27 - August 12.

The Olympics came to an end with the United States in the lead for highest number of medals.  China and Great Britain follower in second and third respectively.   

Phelps took home 22 gold medals making his girlfriend Megan Rossee very proud.  

On Sunday August 23, the Olympics concluded with a spectacular closing ceremony featuring the best of the best British performers.

Athletes were able to relax and enjoy the show without a competitive spirit.
