Disney alumna Bella Thorne is known for her work on Disney Channel's Shake It Up! and the Disney TV movie Frenemies. She has made the shift into film with Blended and now she's coming back to TV with a guest starring role on the hit crime show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Bella's ready to add a crime show murder suspect to her acting résumé, and on Sunday's all-new episode, she'll get her wish. On tonight's episode, which airs on CBS, the 17-year-old actress will be fulfilling her goal of acting on a crime show.

"I love all those [crime] shows, so when they asked me if I wanted to guest star, I was like, 'Of course I'm interested!' Then I read the script and was like, 'Oh, my God, this is cool,'" Bella told TV Line.

In the new episode, Bella will play Hannah Hunt, a suspect in a murder investigation. According to the publication, the episode revolves around a potential murder and a high-school chemistry teacher's experiment gone wrong.

"It's funny, I like playing mean. You know, funny-mean or Valley-Girl-mean. I really want to play as many different types of characters as I can," she told the publication about her latest role.

Her Disney Channel role is fun and upbeat and dances a lot, but this role challenges her to think outside a typical happy character and channel her inner mean girl.

"Even though she's the captain of the swim team, literacy volunteer of the year and seems like she's got it all together ... there is a moment where you'll see her break down and show her true colors," Bella explained.

Her character Hannah's particular issue in this episode "happens to a lot of girls. It's a big issue we need to tackle, and I'm glad this show is doing it," she revealed.

Bella can also been seen in the film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, in theaters now.
