Queens Park Rangers are struggling to fight for their Premier League survival, and manager Harry Redknapp is in no mood to make excuses for some of his players. Adel Taarabt, despite known attitude problems, is seen as their lifeline option, however, Redknapp has insisted that the ex-Fulham and AC Milan star isn't injured, and that he's just "three stone overweight" and "unfit for football." The trickster was torn into in a recent press conference, and it has raised questions over his career, with many wondering if he can get back on track?

The tricky attacker earns around $100K a week, yet he's 42 pounds overweight, suggesting that he's doing minimal training, and binge eating on a daily basis. The 25-year-old has struggled to get near their first-team squad, and many have been wondering why, but now they know.

The QPR manager explained: "I can't protect people who don't want to run and train, and are about three stone overweight. Taarabt is not injured. He's not fit. He's not fit to play football unfortunately. He played in a reserve game the other day and I could have run about more than he did. I can't pick him. What am I supposed to keep saying? Keep getting your £60,000, £70,000 a week and don't train? What's the game coming to? I pick people who want to try, who deserve to be at a good football club like QPR, who come in every day and want to work, train and show a good attitude. When he starts doing that, if he ever can do it, maybe he'll get a game."

The player has had spells at Fulham and AC Milan, and his ability has him known across world football, but his attitude, and now his apparent lazy ways, have all but stopped him from becoming the dominant EPL regular he was evidently talented enough to become. Should players like this still get paid, and how should the club handle the situation?
