CW's 'The Flash' Spoilers: Will Jesse L. Martin Discover Candice Patton, Rick Cosnett's Secret Romance?

With The Flash currently underway on the CW network, viewers are anxiously awaiting for the upcoming episode, 'Things You Can't Ourtun.' As the DC Comics superhero continues fighting crime, will Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) discover Iris West (Candice Patton) and Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett)'s secret romance?

In our previous recap, we witnessed the origin story of how Barry (Grant Gustin) ended up with his super-speed powers. Due to a particle accelerator explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs, lightning struck Barry and threw him into a cabinet of chemicals. Not only did Barry end up with powers, half of the civilian population of Central City became metahumans.

Though Barry has feelings for Iris (Patton), he cannot reveal them to her because she's dating someone else. To make things awkward, Barry promised to keep the relationship quiet from her father. But how long can Barry keep his secret identity and keep Iris' hush hush too? 

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Law & Order actor reveals how the family dynamic will change knowing Barry has super-speed powers. Joe will have to come to terms that his adoptive son is throwing himself in danger, when he's usually a forensics investigator analyzing 

Martin explains how his character will react to the news, "A) That's Joe's partner and if his partner is hiding that from him, that's not a good partner, and B) that's Joe's daughter. She's a grown woman, so she can date who she wants, but she can't date his partner. There's definitely a line." 

We also mentioned that in an upcoming episode, Barry attends a double date with guest-star Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Will Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) show up to ruin everything?
