Iconic fashion designer Oscar de le Renta's death has Hollywood stars reeling. From Hillary Clinton to Laura Bush to Taylor Swift, the fashion giant dressed some of the world's most powerful and famous women. Today, they're speaking out about the indelible mark the designer left on this world.

Taylor wore a de la Renta gown to the Met Ball Gala and posted a photo of it on Instagram with the caption, "My all-time favorite designer has passed away. Oscar, it was an honor to wear your creations and to know you. In loving memory."

The "Shake It Off" singer even gushed earlier this year about wearing one of his dresses.

"Oscar de la Renta is the designer I've idolized since I was a little girl," she told Us Weekly. "Having an opportunity to wear a one-of-kind gown designed by him is a daydream realized."

Avatar star Zoe Saldana tweeted:

Ivanka Trump also wrote on Twitter:

One of the biggest coupes for the designer was getting to dress Amal Alamuddin for her marriage to George Clooney. He was as excited as the bride was when it came to the wedding dress.

"It's the most important dress in the life of a woman," he told Vogue at the time. "Any girl from any walk of life dreams of that special dress, and I try to make that dream a reality for her."

Amal explained to Vogue why she chose Oscar to design the dress, which is why a lot of women have worn his fashions on many of their special occasions.

"George and I wanted a wedding that was romantic and elegant, and I can't imagine anyone more able than Oscar to capture this mood in a dress," she said.

De la Renta died Oct. 20 at 82 after a long bout with cancer.

He was one of a kind and will be missed.
