There really ain't no party like an S Club party! British pop band S Club 7 is in talks to reunite within the next couple weeks, and fans are freaking out over the news. Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole are set to join forces for the first time in 12 years during a televised event for a good cause: the Children in Need telethon.
According to MSN, the group has entered into negotiations to get back together for the Children in Need telethon, which will be broadcast live Nov. 14. S Club will preform a variety of their greatest hits, including "S Club Party," "Reach" and "Never Had a Dream Come True."
But while things are looking hopeful, there could still be a possibility that not every bandmate's schedule will line up for the event, since there are seven people to consider.
"The reunion is definitely on but everyone involved wants a massive launchpad, which is why Children in Need would be perfect," a source told the news site. "It could still all fall through because there are the diaries of seven people to work around, but it's looking positive."
Jon, Hannah and Rachel are the busiest members of the former group, but the others are hoping that this could be a springboard to relaunch their careers.
"Jon is busy with theater, Hannah is working on TV projects and Rachel is a judge on The Voice in Ireland," the insider revealed. "But for the rest of them this is a real second chance to ditch the pub gigs and become stars again."
Should the reaction from the event be positive, "a tour will be announced," the source says.
And it looks like this could all happen, as group member Paul took to his Twitter account a few months ago to reveal that an S Club reunion was in the works:
"Big thanks too everyone for your support with the S club Re-union... Sorry guy's I'm not confirming the S' Re-union. I'm just saying thanks coz there have been thousands of messages over the last year,,,. But it's God Damn close, I can almost... Reach."
