'Boardwalk Empire' Season 5 Spoilers: Will Steve Buscemi, Kelly Macdonald Take 'Final Shot?' [WATCH]

Now that the period/gangster drama, Boardwalk Empire, has one more episode left, HBO has released a behind-the-scenes featurette before season 5 officially ends. Critically acclaimed actors Steve Buscmei and Kelly Macdonald are just a few of the cast members in the video who bid farewell to the show and take 'The Final Shot.'

In our recent recap, Nucky Thompson (Buscemi) has lived a violent and corrupt lifestyle as he took control of Atlantic City. But now, Lucky Luciano (Vincent Piazza) has taken away his fortune and wounded his ego in one swift movie. Will Nucky reclaim what was once his? Or has his empire entirely crumbled.

When the show first began, Al Capone (Stephen Graham) wasn't even the notorious Chicago mob boss, just a lowly henchmen. The HBO drama took a look at the early beginnings of the mobster squad who defined the Prohibition Era. Everything centered on Nucky as he tried to smuggle in liquor while staying one step ahead of the competition.

Oscar-winning director Martin Scorcese, who helmed the pilot, returns to speak about the project created by Terence Winter. At first, Buscemi tired to talk himself out of the role, but after some convincing by Winter, he finally accepted the role.

We also get a chance to see the audition tape by Shea Whigham, who ended up playing Eli Thompson for five seasons. Surely missed by fans, Charlie Huston discusses his character arc for the late Richard Harrow. If you notice, Huston spoke in the same gravely voice as he did in his audition. Macdonald remembers her first day on the job and how she didn't need to memorize any lines.
