‘Nashville’ Recap: “Road Happy” Reveals Avery’s Not The Only Father In Town

This week Nashville returned with an all-new episode and the drama was in high supply. In "Road Happy," everyone is back on tour and things at home are suffering without them.

The episode begins with Juliette in New Orleans on tour, as her baby bump is getting bigger. As she goes to change, Zoey is in her dressing room and overhears her talk about the bump. In a surprising move on Zoey's part, she doesn't tell Avery. In Austin, Rayna is promoting Sadie's performance and touring herself, but her daughters are missing her like crazy. In Chicago, Luke and Deacon are touring and Will is getting in deep with his trainer.

While Jeff is in town to check on Luke, he sees that Will is clearly hooking up with his trainer and tells him that he needs to sign a confidentiality agreement. When Will finally musters up the courage to ask him to sign it, the trainer gets pissed and they break up.

Back in Nashville, Gunnar talks to Zoey and tells her that his ex Kiley wants to meet up before she leaves town. When he goes to see her they have a great conversation. Suddenly her son Micah, comes up and a red flag in Gunnar's head goes off when he learns he is 9-years-old. Kiley insists it isn't his, but he doesn't really believe her.

Meanwhile, Daphne and Maddie get flown out to Austin to see Rayna and spend some time together. When they are there, Daphne gets really upset (which is really out of character for her) when her mom works the whole time. They eventually have a sit down and Rayna has a great night bowling with her family and Luke and his son. They all bond and Maddie reveals that the tabloids have been saying mean things about her and then Rayna feels horrible.

In a switch to Juliette, she finally tells Avery that she is pregnant in a text message and he starts to lose his mind. When she is on set for the movie she is in, Avery shows up and starts screaming about her being pregnant. Noah overhears the whole thing, but decides to take the high road. When they are filming their sex scene, he tells the director to have Juliette on top to hide more of her belly and he says her secret is safe with him.

As Juliette is dealing with baby drama, Scarlett is in Nashville writing some amazing songs. She keeps getting stuck on one verse of her new song and the homeless man outside isn't helping. She finally brings him out a sandwich because he keeps yelling about pizza.

Because the man says he is not a beggar, he needs to give something to her in return for the food. He starts to sing the song she has been recording and finishes the lyrics for her. It is amazing!

In other writing news, Layla is trying to write a song, but like Jeff told her she has no heart, so she can't think of anything good. She gets frustrated and goes into the bathroom to take pills. When she slams the door on the medicine cabinet, it shatters and she cuts her hand. Poor Layla can't catch a break.

Back to Will, the singer is very distraught after his trainer boyfriend leaves so he goes on a walk alone in the woods. In a terrible decision, he approaches a man, who appears to be in the woods for a booty call and is then jumped and beat pretty badly. Deacon sees him when he walks back to the hotel, but Will says he doesn't need any help.

Teddy's storyline this week is linked with Jeff. After Jeff plants the seed that he doesn't have to be the lame parent, Teddy takes the girls for a pamper day. He lets Maddie get highlights in her hair and takes Daphne to get her ears pierced. When Rayna hears about it, she realizes how much she is missing while she is on tour.

She calls Teddy to yell at him, but he is hanging out with Jeff and two women, so he quickly ends their phone call. At the end of the night Teddy kisses one of the women and it clear that Jeff is slowly inching his way into his life, which will not end well for Rayna.

After Noah comes to visit Juliette, she takes the stage in a tight dress. During her performance she starts to get really hot and cannot breathe. She makes it off stage before falling and Zoey takes over singing, which is not cool. As Juliette watches Zoey perform her song, she passes out in Noah's arms.

In the final moments of the episode, Gunnar and Avery talk about babies and Gunnar can't stop thinking about Kiley. He goes and confronts her one last time and says if he has any family left he needs to know. She reveals that Micah is his son!
