According to some new reports, Christopher Nolan's venture into the sci-fi movie genre- the highly anticipated Interstellar- is projected to bring in over $50 million at the box office. Opening weekend for this film is Nov. 7, with advanced IMAX screenings started Nov. 5, which is when the money will start flowing in for this new blockbuster.

Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck and more star in the 2014 epic.

We've already seen some great reviews of Interstellar popping up on Twitter after an early screening wowed lucky audience members earlier this week. Read more on this story HERE!

According to a new report from Variety, early box office tracking statistics are predicting that the film will earn around $50 million as a base, with the possibility of that number increasing as the weeks go by with it in theaters. The article goes on to point out that the fact that this new film is an original story and not a sequel or a Young Adult novel adaptation- like countless other 2014 films- is helping this tracking news and also makes it a "diamond in the rough" situation.

This report goes on the compare this prediction to Gravity's impressive $55.8 million opening weekend, explaining that Interstellar could match this record. In fact, tickets for Interstellar have already gone on sale, which also helps come up with these figures.
