A little while back, CBS officially announced that British comedian James Corden will be replacing Craig Ferguson on the Late Late Show. And now, The Hollywood Reporter notes that The Late Late Show with James Corden will officially premiere on Monday, March 9, 2015.

The publication reports that the new Late Late Show vehicle will film in Los Angeles at the CBS Television City lot. Joining the new host will be producer-writer-director Ben Winston, who will act as the showrunner.

On Corden, CBS Entertainment head Nina Tassler said, "We're excited to begin CBS's next chapter after midnight and introduce James' wide range of performance talent and fearless creative instincts to American television viewers."

The exec continued, "He and Ben have been friends for a long time and partnered together on a variety of successful projects. They are creatively dynamic and a very energetic host/producer combination."

The soon-to-be CBS showrunner is currently producing the British version of the X Factor. He's had an extensive resume overseas in the realms of film, TV, music videos and commercials. THR reports that he and Corden have been friends since the age of 17 and collaborated on the comedian's four-year stint as the emcee of the Bit Awards.

Interestingly enough, Ferguson is taping his last Late Late Show on Dec. 19 of this year. Since Corden's doesn't begin until March, there will be a heavy gap in the CBS late night spot.

Ferguson famously announced his departure from the Late Late Show following news that David Letterman will be leaving the Late Show in May 2015 and will be replaced by current Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert
