Though Supernatural actress Felicia Day fights monsters on the popular CW program, she never expected to face such a threat in real life. After speaking her mind about the anti-feminist troll mob, Gamergate, Day's personal information was boxxed, exposed online, which made her worst fears come true.

In the videogaming culture, the Gamergate controversy stems from issues of sexism and misogyny through online attacks. According to Polygon, the cyber-bullying campaign is linked to ongoing harassment of women in videogames, including Depression Quest creator Zoe Quinn, Anita Sarkeesian, and Giant Spacekat head Brianna Wu.

Though she stayed silent at first about Gamergate, The Guild starlet expressed her worst fears about the movement in a Tumblr post. If she spoke up against it, her personal information would be released on the web, which actually came true.

In her post, Day took a stance and writes why she felt sorry for them, "I have lived a large part of my life ruled by negative emotions, mainly fear and anxiety. From my experience of working through those issues, I have this to say: Steeping yourself in the emotions that you're surrounding yourself with, of hatred and bile and contempt, is ultimately not destructive to others like you want it to be. It's destructive to yourself."

As reported by The Guardian, just minutes after her post, a hacker with the username "gaimerg8" posted Day's personal address and email in the comment section. Though the comment, and the entire comment section have since been removed, she still received tons of death threats  and felt the wrath of Gamergate supporters.

After hearing about the cyber threats, fans have rallied together for the Eureka guest star, which Day has commented on her official Twitter account, "Thank you so much for the supportive comments. It's been a tough 24 hours but worth it because of your responses."

Though she knew it was going to happen anyway, Felicia Day was exposed online after speaking her mind about Gamergate. Readers, what do you think of the cyber-bullying?
