Miley Cyrus Haircut 2012 to Appear on ‘Two and A Half Men’ Stint

Following Miley Cyrus' debut of a spikey platinum blonde pixie haircut comes the news that the pop star is in talks to join the cast of "Two and a Half Men" in its next season.

Reports confirm that Cyrus is close to cutting a deal with "Two and a Half Men" producers to join the cast as a guest star in its tenth season. Whether the "Party in the U.S.A." singer will take part on the show as a regular or is scheduled to just appear on one episode remains uncertain. Cyrus, 19, is supposedly set to play the sexy, witty new girl in town who the character Jake forms a schoolboy crush on (played by 18-year-old Angus T. Jones). Last "Two and a Half Men" fans heard of Jake, he was heading off to join the Army, so looks like Cyrus' character is meant to throw a little fresh twist in the plot (maybe Cyrus got her new infamous do' in inspiration of this new "Two and a Half Men" persona?).

Following Charlie Sheen's departure from the cast of "Two and a Half Men," ratings for the long-running CBS sitcom have steadily dropped. Although Ashton Kutcher's replacement character adds a little youth and spice to the show, maybe producers realized a little more star power wouldn't be such a bad thing. With all the publicity surrounding Cyrus' new extra-short do', it might be exactly what "Two and a Half Men" needs to survive.

The season ten premiere of "Two and a Half Men" airs on Thursday, September 27 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
