"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is officially over - let that sink-in for a moment.

As MstarsNews previously reported, rumors suggest that Mama June is currently dating a convicted sex offender named Mark McDaniel:

Back in September, self-proclaimed Redneck lovebirds Mama June and Sugar Bear officially called it quits. Apparently, Alana Thompson's dad (real name, Mike) was caught cheating via the popular online dating site, PlentyOfFish.com. But was June sneaking around on her marriage, too?

The story gets more scandalous, because the reality star's alleged new man is a registered sex offender.

Remember - June has four young daughters (Anna 'Chickadee' Shannon, Jessica 'Chubbs' Shannon, Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Shannon, and Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson). Anna also has a baby girl.

Anyway, the infamous gossip webloid TMZ reports that June's been dating 53-year-old Mark McDaniel for several months now (remember, she just broke-up with Thompson a few weeks ago). McDaniel was just released from prison after allegations that he molested a young child. The unidentified victim is rumoredly related to June, and they still remain in close contact.

Apparently, McDaniel was convicted in 2004 for aggrivated child molestation. More sepcifically, he forced an eight-year-old kid to perform oral sex on him. June was actually dating McDaniel at this time (before getting together with Sugar Bear).

McDaniel ultimately served 10 years in prison and was finally released in March 2014. That's when the two began speaking again - although he's now a registered sex offender in the state of Georgia.

Over the summer, they started a romance once again. June would allegedly sneak off set to go see McDaniel, and even surprised him with expensive gifts.

The couple was recently spotted getting cozy in a hotel room while hanging-out with friends (check out the photo here).

Inappropriate?

As for the future of "Honey Boo Boo" on TLC, officials released this statement:

"TLC is not currently in production on HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."

Well, the popular television network officially pulled the plug, although June denies that she's still romantically involved with McDaniel. TLC believes the children are now at risk, and will not promote such inappropriate dating behavior (via TMZ's update).

The new season of "Honey Boo Boo" is already finished filming, but it will not be aired. Although ratings are lower, the show's still a big hit, so profits wil be lost. But TLC's okay with that. In an official statement to TMZ, sources explain:

"Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being." The kids will still be offered tutors and counselors - none of the stars have yet to respond on Twitter, but June did post these updates on Honey Boo Boo's Facebook:

"I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can't believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isnt true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back (link)."

But fans are still going crazy:

@Kenzzieee19: "Honey boo boo got canceled... That was my fav show :/."

@KellyBazzle: "OFFICIALLY CANCELED! Mama June, don't you go dating that man! UGH!"
