It's being reported by Deadline that actor Paul Giamatti will star alongside Homeland's Damian Lewis for a new Showtime pilot titled Billions, which is said to be a "Wall Street drama" directed by Divergent's Neil Berger.

The pilot will be both written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin. As Deadline notes, Billions will be a fictional drama that "takes a close look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures –– the hard charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhodes (Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby "Axe" Axelrod (Lewis)."

The pilot will be filmed in New York city beginning early next year (2015). Just a hunch, some filming could be taking place around the Wall Street area of New York's financial district. Again, just a hunch.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Billions will go to pilot in March.

While largely known by his film-work, Giamatti did take the leading role in the 2011 HBO film Too Big To Fail, which was based on the best-selling book, Too Big to Fail: The Inside Story of How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System––and Themselves, written by the aforementioned Andrew Ross Sorkin.

Lewis, of course, stars as Nicholas Brody, on Showtime's Homeland, which is now in its fourth season. Additionally, he will be in the BBC miniseries Wolf Hall.
