After audiences received an exclusive clip at New York Comic Con, Marvel's Agent Carter continues to build momentum with a new cast addition. Actress Lyndsy Fonseca joins Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter to save the world in the upcoming ABC spy/action drama.

As we mentioned here, Peggy (Atwell) recently made her NYCC debut to a packed crowd. In the opening scene, we are introduced to Carter, Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), and Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy). After a quick round of quirky humor, we jump right into the action, watching Carter doing what she does best; kicking butt and breaking bones.

As we previously reported, during the second season premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Peggy came up with the idea of the law enforcement agency after discovering a hidden treasure of alien artifacts at a Hydra base. We know that she and Howard Stark (Cooper) are destined to become the founding fathers of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the eight episode run, Peggy has to figure out how to balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for SSR.

Marvel has announced the Nikita action star as cast as Angie Martinelli. In the storyline, Angie is an aspiring actress living in 1940s New York. While striving to become a starlet, Angie will befriend Peggy Carter (Atwell) as she seeks to find a new place for herself in the post-WWII world.

Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television, describes the Kick-Ass star as an actress who "brings a warmth and humanity to Angie, who'll be the friend Peggy needs if she's to survive the dangers that lie ahead."

Marvel's Agent Carter will premiere during the mid-break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D in January. Readers, are you excited to see Lyndsy Fonseca on the show?
