After making its grand entrance at the New York Comic Con, audiences are very anxious to see the highly anticipated Netflix superhero series. As the series heads into "dark" territory, actor Charlie Cox teases that his alter ego, Matt Murdock, may be "addicted" to his vigilante lifestyle in the upcoming Marvel's Daredevil series.

In the Marvel Universe, Matt Murdock (Cox) was a young boy when he was struck blind after a near fatal car accident. Though everyone thinks he lives in complete darkness, radioactive chemicals gave him back his sight. By day, Murdock is the blind lawyer attending courtroom battles, but by night, the vigilante, Daredevil, serves out his own brand of justice protecting Hell's Kitchen from crime.

During the New York Comic Con, MStars was in attendance at the Daredevil panel, watching the first clips of the Netflix show. We saw an extended cut of an intense brawl of Cox in costume, a scene featuring Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin and his love Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer), and a scene revealing Rosario Dawson's role as nurse Clare Temple

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Boardwalk Empire actor spoke about the reception he received at NYCC, which he described as "great fun." The thespian went on to describe the references he took from the source material, adding "I've never read so many comics in my life."

Cox explains how the dark tone of the series is unlike anything Marvel has done before, "The concept that he can't stop. He's going out, and he's taking the law into his own hands, and he doesn't know if he can stop. He might be addicted to it."

At the NYCC panel, Cox also teased how audiences would be divided in rooting for either Daredevil or the Kingpin.

Marvel's Daredevil is expected to premiere on Netflix in May 2015. Readers, are you excited to see Charlie Cox as the man without fear?
