Sanaa Lathan And Tyrese New Power Couple? Has Sanaa Found 'The Perfect Guy?'

Tyrese and Sanaa Lathan might be coming out as the new power couple! According to TMZ, Tyrese and Sanaa had a lowkey dinner in Hollywood on Monday evening (October 20). Then TMZ's cameraman spotted the two hitting Cheesecake Factory on Wednesday night (October 22) in Topanga. Later that night, Sanaa posted a photo via Instagram, in what appears to be Tyrese's house. She captioned the photo: "#mynewjeans" with a lovestruck emoji. Could the couple be ready to go public?

Sanaa has been busy shooting for new revenge thriller The Perfect Guy. There will be plenty of eye candy in this film, as Morris Chestnut and Michael Ealy have been tapped to star in the Screen Gems movie. Tyrese, however, will not be cast in this film. So describing their dinner date as "strictly business" is not an option here.

According to CNBC, production for the project, which tells the cautionary tale of a woman who crosses paths with the wrong guy, is currently underway.

"Leah Vaughn (Lathan) appears to have the ideal life," a network press release describes the plot. "She enjoys a challenging, fast-paced career as a lobbyist; Dave (Chestnut), her long-term boyfriend loves her. And yet at 36, she's ready to move to the next phase. Marriage and a family seem a logical and welcome step. Dave is not so sure. A bit commitment phobic, his misgivings lead to a painful break up.

Then enters Carter Duncan (Ealy), a handsome, charming stranger whose path keeps crossing with Leah's. Caring and solicitous of Leah and her family and friends, (Charles S. Dutton, Rutina Wesley, Kathryn Morris) their relationship rapidly progresses. It seems Leah has met The Perfect Guy. But if it seems too good to be true, soon his protective nature morphs into something more sinister. It's clear Leah has to end this new relationship and when she does, her onetime lover becomes her ultimate enemy. It will take every bit of her cunning and resolve to escape and outwit him."

Sanaa, who we are used to seeing in romantic comedy films, has been starring in thrillers lately. Earlier this year she starred in the psychological thriller Repentance. Though Sanaa has been switching up her style, it's not likely you'll catch her at any movie with blood or torture. In an interview with Essence earlier this year, the star admitted she's a "scaredy cat."

"I'm the girl who has nightmares and is checking under the bed," she said.
