Looks like Shakespeare is heading to the CW! The Hollywood Reporter notes that NCIS star Mark Harmon has teamed with the famed youth-leaning network to develop and produce a drama about a young William Shakespeare titled Shakespeare's Sisters.

The soon-to-be drama series will reportedly be about "black magic, romance and revenge," chronicling the famed playwright as he rises to fame and inexplicably finds himself dealing with three witches and Queen Elizabeth. THR reports that the show is being claimed to have the same "grit of HBO's hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones" alongside both the "wit and heart of Shakespeare in Love." Sounds like an interesting pair!

NCIS: Los Angeles screenwriter Scott Sullivan has been eyed to write the pilot script. Both Harmon and Kim Tannenbaum are set to produce with Jane the Virgin's Brad Silberling attached to direct and exec produce.

While he's known mainly for his acting on NCIS and The West Wing, Shakespeare's Sisters isn't Harmon's first venture into the producing and developing field. The actor has been linked to NCIS: New Orleans, which premiered just last month, as an executive producer.

NCIS airs on CBS and stars Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs alongside Michael Weatherly and Pauley Perrette. The series is currently in it's twelfth season, which kicked off back on Sept. 23 of this year.
