It's been almost two months since Joan Rivers passed away and Hollywood is still reeling from the shocking death of the comedienne and Fashion Police host. Joan's daughter, Melissa Rivers, is still looking for answers into her mother untimely passing and is also seeking money, as she is reportedly filing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit.

According to E! News, the daughter of the 81-year-old star is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the clinic that Rivers' endoscopy was performed. After going in for a routine procedure at the health facility on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, Joan suffered from a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead a week later.

Melissa has hired the law office of Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Mackauf, Bloom & Bubinowitz to proceed over the case.

Ben Rubinowitz, a partner at the law firm, released a statement about his involvement in this wrongful death suit.

"In order to fully determine all of the facts and circumstances surrounding the death of Joan Rivers, we confirm that our firm has been engaged by Melissa Rivers and her family," the lawyer explained.

As we previously reported, the medical examiner explained that Rivers death was due to "therapeutic complication." The examiner also released that the medical term for what caused Joan's death was "anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest during laryngoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with propofol sedation for evaluation of voice changes and gastroesophageal reflux disease."

We also reported that an unauthorized biopsy was performed by Joan's personal physician, which has been speculated, could have resulted in the complications during the procedure.
