Lauren Conrad shocked us last week when the former star of The Hills chopped off a good portion of her signature golden locks, but now the fashionista has done it again by deciding to go even shorter. In the second haircut Instagram picture that Lauren posted within the last few days, she shows off her hairstylist Krisin Ess taking a pair of scissors to her already short bob.

"Stole a couple more inches this morning," Conrad captions the image.

It seems that Conrad is all about the bob lately, which is taking us back to 2007 when she tried out the shorter hairstyle. However, it seems that Conrad forgot about her brief bob moment from back in the day, especially since she told People magazine in 2007 that she would never go back to the hairstyle.

"No, I'll never go bob again," the starlet explained.

Well it looks like she is eating her words because a bob is exactly what Lauren is sporting these days. However, she did mention the silver lining in going shorter as she explained to the magazine that just because you chop your hair off doesn't mean you have to keep it that way for long.

"I think you can always throw extensions in and have long hair," the Laguna Beach native explained. "There are options."

Lauren's new look might be bob inspired but Kristin Ess says she doesn't call it that.

"I hate the word lob," Kristin explained to In Style. "It's not a good hybrid so I like to call it long texturized bob. There's also a slight bit of an assymetrical-ness to it... that front section, that piece you tuck behind your ear is the cool girl piece. It's just a tad longer than the rest of the hair and its very subtle."
