Keanu Reeves Really Wanted The Roles Of Wolverine Or Batman

In a recent interview with Moviefone, Keanu Reeves revealed that he has had dreams of playing Wolverine and Batman!

"I always wanted to play Wolverine, but I didn't get that," the Speed actor said.

Wolverine is a superhero film from Marvel Comics played by Hugh Jackman, who has reprised the role in numerous films.

"And they have a great Wolverine now," Reeves affirmed.

He continued: "I always wanted to play the Dark Knight, but I didn't get that one. They've had some great Batmans. So now I'm just enjoying them as an audience."

Reeves was beat out by Christian Bale, who got the role in The Dark Knight as Bruce Wayne. The movie encompassed the late actor Heath Ledger as The Joker in one of his last great films before his Jan. 22, 2008, death.

Although Reeves has had some great movies roles such as Constantine, 47 Ronin and his new role in John Wickone can still reminisce on the "what ifs."

His new role as John Wick — the action thriller directed by David Leitch and Chad Stahelski — the character has recently lost his wife to cancer. When he encounters an ex-hitman who takes everything reminiscent of her, he then tracks him down in revenge.

Since the movie's recent release date, it has made $14.4 million at the box office. As for Reeves's favorite revenge movie, he revealed, "Favorite revenge movies ... Hmm ... Is Dirty Harry a revenge movie? There's some psychological revenge. He's working something out. Maybe that's not revenge. But Kill Bill is definitely a classic revenge tale. What are some other ones? Hmm ..."
