'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Prison Sentence Aftermath: Will Bravo Star Show Her Real Hair In 'OITNB' Prison?

Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is gearing up to go to the Orange Is the New Black prison for 15 months, but one thing she's worried about before going in is her hair!

According to Radar Online, the reality star has asked the prison she's going to if she'll be allowed to keep her extensions in.

"Yes, Teresa has had her attorney inquire about keeping the hair extensions," a source said. "She will need to take out her extensions before beginning her prison sentence."

Apparently, Teresa would be allowed to wear extensions, but to handle them daily would be another story.

"She would have probably been able to keep the extensions, but there would have been no way to manage the upkeep," the source continued. "Even though the prisons that Teresa could go to have beauty salons, the special skills needed to manage the extensions just aren't available."

In the most recent episode of unaired scenes of RHONJ, Teresa shows co-star Dina Manzo on their trip to Atlantic City how she sleeps with her hair out so as to not ruin how it was done.

"[She] relies on the extensions to give her the look of a full head of hair. However, Teresa's natural hair is actually very, very thin, and she doesn't have a lot of it," according to Radar. "She is genuinely afraid that she is going to end up bald by the time she leaves prison after 15 months."

Teresa will probably have to part with her hair extensions because the cost of them alone will be more than her prison commissary!

"[It] costs Teresa thousands of dollars a year ... and is very time consuming," the source continued. "Every two months, the hair extensions must be reapplied. Teresa's hairdresser has suggested clip-in hair extensions, which only made her cry."

Teresa will be doing her time at the Danbury Correctional Institution in Connecticut, the inspiration for the hit Netflix show OITNB.
