5 Reasons 'Avengers: Infinity War' Part 1 & 2 Is Marvel's Phase 3 Biggest Event! [WATCH]

During a special presentation in Hollywood, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made an epic announcement unveiling Phase 3 of their Cinematic Universe. The threat of the intergalactic warlord Thanos now spans into two superhero flicks, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2.

As we mentioned before, Avengers: Infinity War is just part of the lineup, which already includes Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Captain America: Civil War. Anticipation is already riding high on the newly released trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. To continue the excitement,, here are 5 reasons why Avengers: Infinity War will be the biggest crossover event of Phase 3.

5) Everybody Has To Fight

With Doctor Strange scheduled for November 4, 2016 and Black Panther expected to be released November 3, 2017, we can be sure Chadwick Boseman and whoever the hell is going to be the Sorcerer Supreme are going to make an appearance in Part 1. With Captain Marvel aimed for July 6, 2018 and Inhumans eyed for November 2, 2018, we can expect them to show up in Part 2.

4) Guardians of the Galaxy

If you've seen the movie, then you know the Infinity Stones have no effect on Star-Lord (Chris Pratt). So he's going to be necessary for the fight against Thanos. Plus Drax (Dave Bautista) has some unfinished business with with the super villain too.

3) They're All Going To Die!

Based on The Infinity War comic by writer Jim Starlin and artist Ron Lim, we can expect a huge death count just like the source material. If Thanos gets his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet, that means evil dopplegangers and alternate universes.

2) Who will direct?

According to Screenrant, Joss Whedon hasn't signed the dot to direct Avengers 3. Will Marvel hand over to the director's chair to James Gunn, who did an impressive job with Guardians of the Galaxy. Whedon sticking around most likely depends on how Avengers: Age of Ultron does at the box office.

1) The Infinity Gauntlet

According to Yahoo News, at the Marvel event, new footage of Thanos was shown with the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanks to Hydra (again), only attendees at the Marvel event were supposed to see it but teaser trailer has since been leaked.
