Boston Children's Hospital got a special visit Monday, Oct. 27, by Boston Bruins NHL players Torey Krug, Dougie Hamilton, Matt Bartkowski, Kevan Miller, Seth Griffith and Matt Fraser when they showed up as Frozen characters to greet the children.

Dougie Hamilton, a defensive player, said, "I think they've been pretty surprised. There's not too many large girls like this ... it's probably a bit mind-blowing for them."

A cheerful Hamilton looked stunning dressed as lead character Elsa.

"We're visiting some kids dressed as the Frozen cast, so I've been able to do this in the past and it's been pretty enjoyable for us, so hopefully it's just as enjoyable for the kids," he said.

The popular 2013 film is a fairy tale about a fearless princess, Ana, who sets off on a journey alongside an iceman, his reindeer and a naive snowman to find her sister Elsa, whose powers have wreacked havoc on the kingdom.

The players were coordinated as the popular characters Kristoff, Ana, Sven, Hans, Olaf and, of course Elsa.

"They love it, it's a very popular movie, my niece loved the movie, always sings "Let It Go," so it's a very popular thing right now and it makes them happy, that's the most important thing," said defenseman Torey Krug, who was dressed as Olaf.

Boston Children's Hospital is one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States. U.S. News & World Report ranked BCH as one of 89 facilities that were ranked in at least one of 10 specialties in the 2014-15 Children's Hospitals list. The hospital has approximately 25,000 in-patient admissions each year.

As for who had the best costume?

"It's a toss-up between Fraz and Dougie," joked Krug. "Bart looks normal in his reindeer costume, mine's a little too comfortable with the belly. Griff's wig is pretty tough but he makes it look good."
