Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook: Oklahoma City Thunder's NBA Stars To Become Full-Time Actor & Writer?

The Oklahoma City Thunder should be preparing for an NBA title push, but could their two best players be ready to ditch basketball for new careers? Kevin Durant has been in the headlines regarding his acting career, while Russell Westbrook has been in the press regarding his love of books. Will Durant get healthy and help his point guard to compete for a title, or will they both turn their backs on the NBA, hoping to find a new love in life?

Durant was in Thunderstruck, but it's safe to say the film didn't go too well, with it only grossing around $600,000. Durant recently criticized the film himself, and he's since suggested that he has no plans to make a movie ever again, suggesting he is well and truly committed to OKC. Durant's movie wasn't terrible, but it was no Space Jam, and it seems the star will once again turn his attention to rehab and basketball.

Westbrook recently played his part in opening a reading center, but it seems that's as far as his love of books go. He explained their importance, saying, "It's very important. As you get older, whether you become successful or not, you kind of forget how it is to be a kid. When you kind of look back, if you were a kid in that situation when you come to school and you see a room like this and you like, 'Oh, I want to go get a book to read. Reading is a key to success. When people in my position are able to do things like this, give kids something exciting to see, give them some type of encouragement, give them access or some type of way to reward them for reading."

It seems the OKC duo are well and truly committed to winning NBA titles and helping others, but will they win a title together, or will they yet again fall short?
