Marvel's 'Agent Carter' Features Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter In ABC's First Look! [WATCH]

After audiences received an exclusive action-packed clip at New York Comic Con, Marvel has released the first official look for Agent Carter. In the teaser trailer, check out Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter  as she attempts to save the world in the upcoming ABC spy/action drama.

As we mentioned here, MStars News was in attendance when Peggy (Atwell) made her NYCC debut to a enthusiastically packed crowd. In the opening scene, we were introduced to Carter, Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), and Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy). After a quick round of quirky humor, we jumped right into the action, watching Carter doing what she does best; kicking butt and breaking bones.

As we previously reported, during the second season premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Peggy came up with the idea of the law enforcement agency after discovering a hidden treasure of alien artifacts at a Hydra base. We know that she and Howard Stark (Cooper) are destined to become the founding fathers of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the eight episode run, Peggy has to figure out how to balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for SSR.

Marvel first released the teaser through its official Twitter account, @AgentCarterTV, then on their Youtube Page. Because we saw the footage firsthand, we should also mention viewers are getting snippets of what was presented at NYCC.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show will revisit Carter immediately after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger. After returning home from WWII, Peggy tries to balances an office job with the Strategic Scientific Reserve while going on secret missions with Howard Stark. While Peggy attempts to pull off her juggling act, Stark has been framed for selling weapons on the black market.

Marvel's Agent Carter will premiere during the mid-break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D in January. Readers, are you excited to see the return of Peggy Carter?
