Sleepy Hollow is in its second season on Fox and it's really interesting, but its ratings have slipped to an all-time low. So what's to blame for the rating slip?

The series revolves around Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie). When Ichabod returns from the dead, he teams up with the local police station, primarily the best police officer, Abbie, as the two fend off the forces of evil that are being sent into the world from the other side.

After Season 1's success, it came as a shock when Sleepy Hollow's sophomore season didn't keep its numbers up. Monday's episode marked a new low for the series, only getting 5 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Despite having a good lead-in show with Fox's new hit Gotham, the numbers are bad. Sleepy Hollow does make it up, however, with its DVR numbers.

"The show's competition is on par with last year. Hollow does make up a fair amount of viewing on DVR, at least, with Week 3 climbing 65 percent — not as much as Gotham, which climbed a really impressive 80 percent," Entertainment Weekly reported.

Sleepy Hollow isn't the only drama that had bad numbers this week. CBS fell victim to the number drop with its new drama Scorpion. It slipped down to 10.1 million viewers, according to the publication.

The night wasn't a total bust, however, since 2 Broke Girls returned for its fourth season with better numbers than its Season 3 finale.

The show "2 Broke Girls returned to 8.4 million and a 2.4, up from its May finale (6.5 mil/2.0) but down from both its previous premiere (8.9 mil/2.8, at 9 p.m.) and How I Met Your Mother's year-ago opener in the Monday lead-off spot (9.4 mil/3.7)," TV Line reported.

Sleepy Hollow airs Mondays at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
