This is the one scary movie you should definitely see this Halloween. Based on the bestselling horror novel of the same name by author Joe Hill, actor Daniel Radcliffe and actress Juno Temple star in the supernatural romantic thriller, Horns.

Horns centers on Ig (Radcliffe), a young man framed for the brutal murder his girlfriend, Merrin (Temple). After her funeral, Ig sprouts a devilish pair of horns, which causes random people to share their most perverse thoughts with him. As he searches for the real killer, the horns themselves turn him into a bloodthirsty demon.

As we mentioned before, this scarefest mixes straight-up horror with romance and dark comedy. The flick is directed by Alexandre Aja, the same filmmaker who terrified audiences with High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes remake. We have 5 reasons why Horns is the perfect film to watch during the devilish holiday.

5) Why Did It Have To be Snakes?

In an interview with Telegraph, the Harry Potter actor reveals the snakes in the film are real, not CGI generated. Radcliffe had a snake wrapped around his neck and states, "You're totally projecting human emotions on to them, but mine was very sweet!"

4) It's Not A Horror Movie Unless It Has Nudity

The Dark Night Rises actress reveals to Indiewire about her nude scenes with the Extras guest star, "I guarantee you that a few moments after we start shooting you will be asked to put your hands on my bum cheeks. It will happen at some point. Literally we go in and five minutes later I was like, 'Told you so.'"

3) Locke & Key

The Horns scribe is also the writer of the phenomenal Locke & Key series (IDW Publishing). Written by Hill and wonderfully drawn by by Gabriel Rodriguez, Locke & Key follows a family as they wander into their haunted New England mansion, which has many doors that will lead them to an ancient evil. When this one going to be made into a movie?

4) No Skimping On The Gore Factor

Aja tells Austin Chronicle, "I feel that Horns is the most personal movie that I've made so far. In some ways it has kind of thrown me back to my first feature film, which no one has seen, Furia, the film I made before High Tension. With Horns, I feel as if I was going back to that time, to my 20s, returning to that dark, romantic side of myself as a filmmaker."

5) Screams of Cult Classic

Horns is destined to be a cult classic that horror fans will talking about. We have an impressive performance by Radcliffe, who just nails the American accent down pat.

Horns will hit theaters on October 31 and is available on VOD. Readers, are you ready to be scared for Halloween?
