The NBA and its fans have talked up rookie trio Andrew Wiggins, Nerlens Noel and Jabari Parker for some time now, but were they destined to fall far beneath the sky-high hype the fans placed around them? The trio came up with a combined 20 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists for their rookie debut in the NBA, not exactly mind-blowing statistics, considering that was three players for three teams combined. Do the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks have rookie busts on their hand?

Wiggins explained that the moment was still amazing, saying, "I've been thinking about this day for a while now. Since I was a little kid. It's something different I haven't done before."

However, at least he has an excuse. The young star was traded by his first team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, meaning he was always going to struggle to settle in. However, both Parker and Noel have had plenty of time to adjust at their team.

Perhaps Noel can be given the most stick, given the fact that he had a year out injured missing what was supposed to be his first season. One would assume he'd of done a lot of studying off the court. Perhaps he, and the first and second picks of this years draft, will come good, but then again, with the huge expectations placed on them, can they ever reach that level?

Will this trio be NBA busts? Only time will tell, and although it's early, a great debut would've gone a long way to settling everyone's nerves.
