According to the official website, Bates Motel follows the teen years of tortured Norman (Highmore) and his manipulative mother Norma (Vera Farmiga). Destined to become a psychopath, did Norman lose his mind from the start, or was it caused by his surroundings and the people around him? Will Dylan (Max Thieriot) save his brother before their own family and town tear them apart?

While the Ouija actress was promoting her horror flick, the English actress teases just a bit to Spinoff Online about what's coming up for the crime/horror teen drama. Though Emma wants to get close to Norman. his feelings for Bradley get in the way.

Cooke describes what will change with character this upcoming season, "Her lung capacity is depleted because of an infection. You start to wonder how long she really has left. Emma's still working at the motel. There's a proposition from Norman that excites her as well. In their relationship, they get a lot closer in a way that is super-lovely and exciting for Emma, but then she realizes not all is what it seems."

Cooke also teases, "Each episode is leading to where Psycho begins. He's always getting more and more unhinged."

Just how unhinged will Norman get, executive Kerry Ehrin, tells TVLine, "Norman definitely is getting to a point where he is more torn between two parts of him, and in a lot of ways, it's about the battle for his soul [and] who he is."
