Jennifer Lopez Opens Up to Maria Shriver About Heartbreak With Ex -Fiance Ben Affleck on the Today Show: "It was probably my first big heartbreak."

Jennifer Lopez opens up in a new interview with on the Today show with Maria Shriver about her past engagement with Gigli Ben Affleck. The "Booty" singer declared how saddened she was over the breakup.

The interview, set to air on Nov. 3 and 4, reveals the Jenny from the Block singer
stating, "It was probably my first big heartbreak. And to have one of my best friends who I'd known for years, who I actually love and did have chemistry with, come into my life and say, 'I'm here'...What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you. Only you can do that for you."

Lopez was promoting her new memoir "True Love" when the former wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger recalled her broken 2004 engagement to the now married and father of three, Affleck. In June of that same year, Lopez was married to her third husband, Marc Anthony, and welcomed twins Max and Emme, now six.  Regarding the incident Lopez states, "It's still a work in progress for me. It's how you feel as a child, you know, being a middle child and kind of being invincible sometimes, or, you know, trying to get attention." She also reveals that she just really wanted to be loved as a child so she overachieved her goals by running track and winning medals every weekend. "That would give me confidence. But there was a part of me that just wanted love, that felt like she wasn't worthy of the love." Heartbreak and all, Lopez seems to be doing well for herself as the singer/actress has been rumored to be in contract to buy a $22 million Manhattan Penthouse equipped with four bedrooms, six full baths and Arclinea Chef's kitchen!
