‘Agent X’ Casting: Sharon Stone Joins Jeff Hephner & Gerald McRaney In TNT Drama!

After Falling Skies and Legends, TNT has added a presidential thriller, Agent X, to their lineup. Described as a cross between National Treasure and The Bourne Identity, actress Sharon Stone joins the cast alongside actors Jeff Hephner and Gerald McRaney.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the TNT drama centers on an unseen government agent who works to protect the country and its citizens from all manner of threats by. Created by the original founding fathers , the unknown agent of is trained and ready to serve when the time comes for it. The project hails from The Bourne Identity's co-screenwriter William Blake Herron and will be executive produced by Armyan Bernstein (Children of Men).

USA Today mentions Oscar nominee and Emmy ward winner, is also an executive producer on the show. The Basic Instinct actress plays the role of Natalie Maccabee, America's first female vice president. As the VP, one of her major decisions is to know when to deploy her a secret agent, John Case (Hephner), to tackle on a criss that goes beyond the reach of traditional law and established government.

In a statement to the press, TNT promises this vice president isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. We'll start seeing Stone away from her desk as "Maccabee soon finds herself being drawn into the action."

Lillah McCarthy, SVP of TNT and TBS Original Productions, tells Deadline, "Agent X is a perfect fit for TNT's expanding lineup of action-dramas. t's a slick, high-energy thrill-ride with lots of twists and turns, big action sequences and kick-ass stunts."

Despite having been in the works since September 2013 and after being retooled,TNT has given a 10-episode series order for their action-packed drama.
