Mariah Carey and No Doubt are set to perform live from Rockefeller Plaza before the New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on September 5.

The Giants-Cowboys game marks the opening of the 2012 NFL season. The "Triumphant" singer and pop-punk rockers No Doubt are set to perform an hour-long pregame before the event in New York City, a mere hop and skip across the Hudson River from East Rutherford, NJ which is where the football game will take place.

The performance will air 7:30 pm.m ET on NBC.

According to reports, Carey is excited to make the debut of the 2012 NFL season "even more festive." Gwen Stefani and her No Doubt crew aren't new to the NFL scene - the band performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2003.

In other NFL/musician related news, hip-hop artist Cee Lo Green is currently recording a track entitled "I Love Football," which goes to the beat of the Ramones' hit "Blitzkrieg Bop." The tune will be the opener for the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football broadcasts.
