The Avengers: Age of Ultron is loaded to capacity with characters, but it seems Joss Whedon and the rest of the Marvel team have found room to squeeze two more characters in there.

Actor Idris Elba, who played Heimdall in the two Thor movies, confirmed to The Telegraph over the weekend that he is in a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, who famously plays Loki. It doesn't sound like Elba's and Hiddleston's involvement goes far beyond that, but we'll find out next year when the movie hits theaters.

In other great news for Hiddleston fans, Digital Spy claims the fan-favorite actor will have a prominent role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the recently announced Phase Three. The site reports Marvel boss Kevin Feige has revealed Loki will return in both Thor: Ragnarok and The Avengers: Infinity War.

Recall the ending of Thor: The Dark World, in which Loki disguised himself as Odin to sit on the throne of Asgard. So it only makes sense that the character would return in the third Thor movie.

Loki also lost Thanos' scepter when he tried to invade Earth in The Avengers, and Baron von Strucker of Hydra now holds the item. Thanos' right-hand man, The Other, warned Loki that he would face severe consequences if he failed Thanos, and it's hard to call Loki's invasion anything other than a failure. He lost the scepter and the Tesseract (one of the Infinity Stones) and The Avengers wiped out part of Thanos' army. Of course, The Other is now dead thanks to Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy, so perhaps Thanos will have to take vengeance on Loki personally.

What do you think will happen with these characters as the MCU unfolds? Let us know in the comments section.
