New couple alert! Yes, Miley and Patrick could be the next celebrity couple to watch. E! News learned that the young lovebirds have been spending a lot of time together recently, but is their friendship becoming more serious? Sources say, yes!

According to E! News, multiple sources say the pair has been causally dating, but another insider revealed, they "are not officially together," but the duo "are good friends."

Although Miley's reps did not respond yet for confirmation of the budding romance and Patrick's camp had no comment, there are clear signs that things are heating up between the "We Can't Stop" singer and Arnold Schwarzenegger's son.

For example, E! News reported that the duo was hanging out together at Patrick's Los Angeles apartment before heading out to a Halloween party last weekend. They were also spotted at Universal Haunted Hayride on Thursday with a group of friends.

A source told the publication that Miley and Patrick were in a group of six at the Hayride. "Miley and Patrick went through the maze and rode the hayride together, but [the source] tells us that there was no PDA between the pair," E! News explained.

If this friendship does become a high profile Hollywood couple, it won't be the first time that Patrick would have wanted to be more than friends with Miley. In 2011, the 21-year-old hunk referred to both Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez as, "girls for the future," noting that Miley was really on his mind. "My eye, though is set on Miley," he explained to Details.
