'Captain Marvel' Rumors: Jessica Chastain, Katheryn Winnick Vie For Carol Danvers' Marvel Phase 3 Role!

A short time has passed since the special presentation in Hollywood, where Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made his epic announcement unveiling of Phase 3's upcoming superhero flicks. Names are already being dropped for, Captain Marvel, such as actresses Jessica Chastain and Katheryn Winnick for the Carol Danvers role.

As we mentioned before, Captain Marvel is just part of the lineup, which already includes Black Panther and Captain America: Civil War. In the Marvel Universe, Captain Marvel is a flying super heroine with cosmic powers.

In an interview with MTV, while promoting her upcoming Interstellar flick, the Zero Dark Thirty actress thought about what kind of superhero she would play. The Mama actress goes on, "And here's the thing with me... If you're going to be in a superhero movie, you only get one chance. You're that character forever. So why do a superhero movie and play the boring civilian?"

Because she stated, "We've talked about aligning our forces in the future," readers immediately thought she was in talks with Marvel about the Danvers role.

Chastain explains herself in a tweet, "Oops uh oh....I've never had talks about Captain Marvel. Was referring to a different film from over a year ago, in my recent MTV interview."

Reddit user jamce that reimagined the Vikings star as Captain Marvel. The Killers star shared the fan art on her Instagram feed.
