Sharon Osbourne Reveals Battles With Depression: Says She's Been On Medication For 16 Years

Sharon Osbourne got candid yesterday during an episode of the CBS talk show The Talk. The 62-year-old star opened up to her co-hosts about her personal battle with depression. Ozzy Osbourne's wife revealed that she has been on depression medication for the last 16 years in order to control her mood.

According to People, the women of the CBS talk show were talking about comedian Wayne Brady's recent admission that he has suffered from a longtime battle and it inspired Osbourne to share her story. When the ladies talk about Wil Wheaton's desire to share his story to get rid of the stigma surrounding the disease, Sharon opens up.

"Um excuse me 16 years I've been on medication," Obsourne says to her co-hosts.

"You never talked about that," one of Sharon's co-hosts, Aisha Tyler explained, to which Sharon replied, "Nobody ever asked!"

"Some days are better than others," the America's Got Talent judge explained. "Some days you feel like you just want to pull the sheets over your head and just stay in that bed and not do a damn thing- except rot."

Sharon reveals that she got help, which others in the situation should do.

Wayne Brady recently opened up to Entertainment Weekly about his struggle with the disorder, saying, "Having a bad day is one thing, having a bad week is another, having a bad life ... You don't want to move, you can't move in the darkness," he explains. "You're like, 'I am just going to sit right here and I want to wallow in this. As much as it hurts, I am going to sit right here because this is what I deserve. This is what I deserve, so I am going to sit here because I am that horrible of a person."
