CW's 'Hart of Dixie' Gets A Season Four Premiere Date, Plus MTV Newcomer 'Eye Candy' Announces Its Series Premiere Date

CW's hit medical drama, Hart of Dixie, has finally received a winter premiere date. Plus, the MTV newcomer, Eye Candy, officially announced its series premiere date this week.

Hart of Dixie will return for its fourth season this winter according to the network. The official premiere date is Friday, Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. the CW announced on Tuesday via The Hollywood Reporter.

The doctor drama stars Rachel Bilson as Zoe Hart and follows her as she moves from New York to Bluebell, Alabama to work with a stranger named Dr. Harley Wilkes. When Dr. Wilkes dies, Zoe takes over the practice and has to acclimate to her new life in the south.

The series also stars Jamie King as Lemon Breeland, Cress Williams as Lavon Hayes, Wilson Bethel as Wade Kinsella and Scott Porter as George Tucker. In October, Scott tweeted a cryptic message about the possibility of the fourth season being the final season.

"And the sun sets on #BlueBell. Thanks for an amazing 4 years #HartofDixie," Scott tweeted. Wilson also tweeted about the future of the show saying, "Thank you, Wade Kinsella, for these four wonderful years. It's been a mighty pleasure knowing you. #picturewrap #HartofDixie."

No word on whether or not this will be the final season of Hart of Dixie, but the fourth season will begin in January so mark your calendar.

MTV has also just made a TV announcement about their upcoming thriller Eye Candy. According to TV Line, the action-drama will premiere on Jan. 10 and will be 10 episodes.

"[The] series follows a New York City computer genius named Lindy who discovers that one of her online suitors might be a wanted murderer," TV Line reported. Eye Candy will star Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice as the lead in the series.

The rest of the cast includes Casey Deidrick as Tommy, Kiersey Clemons as Sophia, John Garet Stoker as Connor and Harvey Gullen as George.
