'RHOBH' Kyle Richards' Daughter Attacked by Kim Richards' Pit Bull: Alexia Umansky in Hospital

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards is dealing with a pit bull attack on her 18-year-old daughter, Alexia Umansky.

According to TMZ, the attack came from no other then her sister Kim Richards' pit bull.

The website has been told that the Umansky family was by Alexia's side while the teenager underwent two surgeries at Cedears-Sinai Medical Center.

During last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kim's dog underwent extensive animal training as seen on the show.

Kim Richards has now released a statement (via RadarOnline) regarding the very public matter surrounding her niece and dog Kingsley.

"First off let me start by saying the safety and welfare of my family means the world to me," Richards states. "I love Alexia like she is my own child and have been in constant contact with my sister Kyle and niece Alexia."

The unfortunate news comes at a bad time as the season 5 sneak peak was released just this week, and as Mstars reported, the exclusive sneak peak showcases one of the most dramatic seasons yet, with Lisa Vanderpump getting slapped!

"The events that lead up to Kingsley biting Alexia resulted from the girls entering my bedroom after I already told them my room was off limits. Alexia has been away from college for months and hasn't seen Kingsley in a long time," she continued. "The dog has become very protective of me in the meantime. When guests are over, Kingsley stays in my bedroom and has been given access to a special fenced in area in my backyard."

Although Kim is making statements regarding this matter, the former kid star has been making headlines in other aspects of news as well. As Mstars reported, the reality star accused RHOBH newbie Lisa Rinna's husband, Harry Hamlin, of cheating on his wife!

It doesn't seem like Richards can catch a break, can she?

Cheating scandals and all, Richards is very much apologetic of the pit-bull attack. "The second I realized Alexia had been bitten on the finger leaving a puncture mark on her thumb, I immediately called my sister, Kyle, and took her to the nearest emergency room," the statement read.
