Several "16 & Pregnant" fans probably remember Jordan Cashmyer from Season 5 - she gave birth to beautiful daughter Genevieve Taylor while homeless:

After appearing on the hit MTV reality show back in June 2014, things continued going downhill for young Cashmyer. According to the infamous gossip webloid The Ashley, she began working as a stripper in Baltimore, Maryland to help with expenses. Apparently she is no longer dating baby daddy, Derek Taylor.

And just a few days ago, 18-year-old Cashmyer attempted suicide after being diagnosed with post partum depression. In an emotional Facebook message to fans, Cashmyer reveals:

So, I am happy to say that I am home from the hospital and feeling great for those of you that know and for those of you that don't, here it goes. I have been struggling with a lot of different things, emotionally, since I had Genevieve. I was diagnosed with post partum depression and was on medication for a little while for it, but I never followed up with my appointment and after that things starting to get out of control. My mood wouldn't stay stable for very long, I was extremely impulsive, couldn't focus, the smallest things would set me off, and my anxiety got worse, as did my depression and OCD. It got to the point where I didn't know what to do or how to handle it and since i had lost everything that was important to me, i felt that there wasn't much of a reason to live anymore. After trying to overdose, I was taken to the hospital and have been in there since then. They felt that I had made enough progress that I could go home today. I am now on medication and feeling great. I feel like my normal self; happy, smiling, talkative and thinking clearly. I just want to apologize to those of you that were worried and thank those of you that have been there and are continuing to be there. Things really are looking up and I am set on having the best possible future for my daughter and I.

And by no means do I want to be babied. I just want to let people know that it can happen to anyone and you're not alone.

She continues updating her supporters on the popular social networking site.
